I would like the order for SEM to only execute on the close at a price of 27.15 or better. Is there a way to ensure that only a LOC order is sent to IB and not an intraday limit order?
This is only so that I can match my trading performance with backtested data. I am assuming I am doing something wrong with my settings, thanks.

Is it possible your strategy settings have an override for the limit order type?
By default, if you place LOC orders, then it should place an LOC order, unless you have an override.
If you're still unable to resolve this, send a screenshot of your strategy settings to contact@aleratrading.com
Ah, I didn't realize the override would also have an impact on LOC orders - seems obvious now but wasn't before. I'm sure that was the issue, thanks for helping me.
